Please read carefully all rules for open class exhibits. Exhibits must be in place on the fairgrounds by 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 6. Exhibits are to be picked up at the close of the fair between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 11, 2016. Judging will begin at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, September 6.

PREMIUMS – Each grange exhibiting, provided the judge(s) qualifies the exhibit, will be paid $40.00. Placing ribbons
will be awarded to first, second and third places.

CLASS 1 – GRANGE EXHIBIT

SCORE CARD

  • General Attractiveness Arrangements – 5 points
  • Color – 4 points
  • Proportion – 5 points
  • Varieties neatly and correctly labeled – 5 points
  • Grains (threshed, any three, wheat, oat, rye, barley, soybean) – 5 points
  • Grasses (minimum of 2) – 4 points
  • Field Corn (2 varieties, 6 ears each) – 5 points
  • Flowers (2 potted plants) – 5 points
  • Baked Goods (1 pie, 1 cake, 1 plate rolls, 1 plate of 6 cookies, and 1 loaf white bread) – 8 points
  • Fruits and Vegetables (5 fresh fruits, 5 fresh vegetables) – 10 points
  • Potatoes (2 varieties Irish, 1 variety sweet) – 4 points
  • Canned Fruits and Vegetables (3 fruits, 3 vegetables) – 15 points
  • Homemade Garments (2 garments) – 2 points
  • Needlework (4 pieces) – 3 points
  • Grange Achievements – 10 points
  • Presentation of Grange Teaching – 10 points
  • Total points – 100 points
